Creative workshop with 3D printing and scanning technology – Virtual phase already in operation
The 3D technology workshop is equipped with equipment enabling the creation of physical models and prototype parts using FDM and SLA 3D printing technologies. Additive FDM technology is implemented using a Prusa MK3S 3D printer with a maximum size of the printed part of 250x210x210 mm with a multi-material extruder enabling the printing of up to 5 different materials at the same time. Printed materials can be PLA, PET-G, ABS, Nylon and various flexible materials. For printing extremely precise and detailed models, the laboratory is equipped with a Formlabs Form 3B SLA 3D printer with a maximum print area of 145x145x185 mm and a layer height of 25 μm. Using the printer, it is possible to create durable, strong, flexible, transparent or fusible models and parts with high precision and surface quality. Creating digital models from physical objects for reverse engineering, design or art is possible thanks to the Shining 3D EinScan Pro 2X optical 3D scanner. The accuracy of scanning and capturing details is up to 0.04 mm, which makes it possible to obtain a three-dimensional model with high resolution, which can then be modified or supplemented in a PC using CAD software.
Processing of materials – comming soon
Currently, emphasis is placed on products with increasingly complex shapes and their quality, achieved dimensional accuracy and associated with them, the progressive production technologies used. This type of activity can no longer be limited to the machine and the operator. The preparatory phase of such an activity is inherently connected with the use of various computer technologies for the proposal itself, design, 2D and 3D documentation and its subsequent virtual simulation of the production process in the relevant CAD/CAM systems, respectively also additional CNC control systems, which, in addition to the basic ISO interface and the direct creation of a CNC program also uses elements of 3D graphics that are typical for modern CAD/CAM systems. This is of great importance both in artistic and creative activities, but also in the design and after a successful simulation of the actual production of individual prototype pieces, or the results of artistic activities in the production of various objects precisely by machining on CNC machines. The hardware and software equipment included in the creative craft workshop for machining materials, together with the spaces in which they will be located, offer the conditions necessary for designs, creation of CNC programs and the subsequent production of a wide range of products from a wide range of mainly metallic materials, but also the possibility of machining non-metallic materials – wood and plastics.
